This week we focused on formative and summative assessments in the unit of inquiry. Students continued their research on leaders and analysed their beliefs, values and the impact they have made on the society.
We also had a guest speaker, Mr. Aslam Hirani, who enlightened the students about his role, the challenges and opportunities he faces and how he handles them. He also spoke about various leaders and the significant impact they have made in the society.
In Maths students looked into strategies of subtraction and revised strategies of multiplication through anecdotes, role plays, games on ipads and practice.
In English students inquired into different types of sentences :
imperative
interrogative
imperative
exclamatory
Ms Lisa taught the different types of sentences in a very innovative way. Students inquired into the four different types of sentences in kinesthetic manner and they enjoyed the whole process.
